Our mission
R-Ladies+ Vienna is a Vienna-based non-profit organization and a local chapter of R-Ladies+ Global, with a mission to achieve proportionate representation of genders currently underrepresented in the R community.
Our priority is to provide a safe space for anyone identifying as a minority gender, while welcoming all identities to participate in our inclusive events. We welcome R users of all proficiency levels and from all backgrounds, including students, self-taught learners, industry professionals, and researchers.
As a founding principle, there is no cost to participate in R-Ladies+ communities around the world.
What we do
We organize regular events and meetups in person or online to connect with the community, strengthen our members’ R skills, and share knowledge. These include:
- Talks and discussions on R usage and applications
- Hands-on workshops
- Social and networking events

We are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive community space for everyone. We follow the R-Ladies+ Global code of conduct.
A note on photos and videos
We may take photos or short videos at events to share what our community is up to. By attending, you give the community organizers permission to use these images for publicity, fundraising, or other purposes to help achieve the community’s aims. If you do not wish to be recorded in these media, please inform a community organizer.
